Job Title : Software Quality Engineer
This individual will work with the laboratory staff and developers to
ensure deliverables and timelines are met, normally receive no instruction on
routine work, but will receive detailed instructions on new
assignments.
Qualifications:
1. B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
2. 1-2 years minimum experience configuring and manually testing software applications and developing test plans and test cases
3. 1-2 years of overall software quality assurance and/or software engineering experience, with exposure to the full product development cycle – from requirements through post-release
4. Able to formulate and implement effective test strategies, and identify areas for significant efficiency gain through automation
5. 1+ year(s) of programming experience in at least one of VB, C++, or C#
6. Good experience in at least one of Microsoft SQL, Access, or Oracle to be able to inspect data by queries
7. Good understanding of UML is a must (use cases, class diagrams…)
8. Knowledge about CMMI
9. Comfortable mentoring and training others, both informally (peer-level) and formally (through occasional presentations)
10. Willing to pitch in and contribute to manual test efforts when needed.
11. Good trouble shooting skills
12. Test automation experience is a strong plus
13. Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server is a strong plus
14. Experience on Various H/W skills will be a plus
