Essentials and Duties:
| Compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories and other sources , Traveling throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or contacting customers at their place of business or by phone , Displaying and demonstrating products using samples or catalogues to emphasize saleable features , Quoting prices and credit terms and preparing sales contracts for orders obtained , Estimating dates of delivery to customers based on knowledge of the represented firm's production and delivery schedules , Preparing reports of business transactions and keeping expense accounts. |
